Membership in CBOB is available to any adult who currently plays a wind or percussion instrument. We require that you are able to play your instrument at an advanced level of performance. Formal membership in the Band is achieved when players have attended four (4) consecutive rehearsals or have attended six (6) rehearsals in a two-month period and in the opinion of the conductor and section leader, are able to adequately perform the play-listed music. Musically-qualified high-school students, grade 10 and up, may also join, with written consent of their parent or guardian, a written reference from their band director or private music teacher, and concurrence by the Conductor.
If you are interested, come to a rehearsal, which we have on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Edgewood Junior/Senior High School band room.
Please note that membership in the Band, while providing a great deal of personal satisfaction and enjoyment, carries with it certain responsibilities. These include regular attendance at rehearsals, a firm commitment to outside practice time and effort, and proper attitude and behavior.
